Five things I like doing!

1. Half full cup always fills itself up!

Facing life with a smile - as much as that sounds like I live in a bubble, solves a lot and shall we say 'fills my half full cup up'. This makes me think positive which is important, in a way it's part of my personality which I suppose I don't have much control over. I read an article titled '15 Benefits of Smiling' which I think you'd enjoy reading.

"I like the fact that smiling is contagious, increases productivity and makes you look younger!" #Win

It's very peculiar but proven to work. One which I love putting to practice is the contagious bit. A smile to someone even if I don't know them takes a mere second to return one upon catching eye contact, it's a great start to my day but I'm sure for theirs too. Some would confuse what I do to be flirtatious which as a matter of fact is just a nice gesture.

2. Spending that bit more time...

With anything I get myself involved into or even with friends, there's that difference between putting some effort and actually being interested by simply spending that bit more time...
"Acknowledging a friend for instance is nice but a quick conversation is just that bit more which is nicer!"
I learnt this from a Korean friend who is quite international through their childhood but also family background, he said that he valued my effort to actually talk to him when I see him around my university campus. I never actually realised this until it was pointed out, and now I can see how much difference it does make to someone's thoughts about you.

"Likewise when putting effort into something, try and spend that bit more time... This  can change your outcome ie.. Baking cakes for charity! ^ ^ "

3. I love Networking!

A lot of people would agree that networking is very powerful. Many opportunities from paid work, volunteering positions and making great friends have arose in my first year of university purely because of my interest in networking. This is something I enjoy very much which I think I have picked up overtime from meeting successful people but mainly from my dad too.

"My dad was a little bit of a technophile and so my siblings and I grew up to be a bit technology geeks - which I would say has an aspect of networking!"

Using Windows 95 from a very young age.

4. I find it hard to say 'No'

A lot of people in today's society has an instant reaction to just say "...No" - saying so at the same time there are a lot who actually will make time by saying "...Yes". I am one of them to the extreme and sometimes would backfire! #Procrastination I sometimes have to lecture myself on how to manage my time more appropriately but nevertheless I enjoy myself and somehow "come out of shit smelling of roses!"

"Dad's favourite quote do define my life: Shit and roses"

 5. Coffee and Krispy Kreme, that is all

Need I say more? I have a Filipino sweet tooth that needs to be fulfilled and this is one of my necessities in life. Some would say it is overrated but there is quality and you must agree, somewhat like all apple products. There is a Krispy Kreme store at High Wycombe and as a regular I am now on a first name basis with the staff members.
"I'm not promoting them but when you get a chance do pop in if not, I'll probably take you there if the opportunity arises - that's if I haven't already done so!"

"...So, these are five things I like doing which most do know about me. What d'you think? Am I missing something? Hahaa"

First blog post

So I've decided to start a new blog. I haven't decided on what it will be specifically be about or around so for the mean time it would be around my interest as a university student studying 'Air Transport with Commercial Pilot training'. Saying so, my hobbies are around doing a lot of community volunteering and what travelling I can do being a student.

Part of the September 2012 class at Bucks New University flying towards a great career.

Arrival to Croatia, Zadar completing the Link Community Development charity hitch hike #HikingVikings

Last but not least, community volunteering whatever it may be from the youth to events that need support.
